Your first visit with us is designed to be informative, supportive, and entirely focused on you. Whether you’re experiencing new symptoms or seeking clarity about midlife changes, our goal is to provide care that feels validating, personalized, and evidence-based.
Appointment Format
- Duration: Approximately 30 minutes
- Mode: Secure video call (preferred) or phone
- Provider: A certified physician with experience in menopause and women’s health
- Location: From the comfort of your home — no travel required (occasionally we can arrange for in-person appointments if needed)
Before Your Visit
To make the most of our time together:
- Complete your intake questionnaire in full and send it back at least 72 hours before your appointment.
- Complete any lab tests if requisitions were provided in advance.
- Bring any recent test results or a list of current medications, if applicable.
- Find a quiet, private space for your appointment if using video.
During Your Visit
- We’ll review your symptoms, medical history, and any results.
- You’ll have plenty of time to share your concerns and ask questions.
- Together, we’ll explore possible next steps — which may include lifestyle changes, lab testing, or treatment options like hormone therapy (if appropriate).
- You are not expected to make a decision on the spot — this is a no-pressure environment.
Our Approach
- Patient-centred: We listen, explain clearly, and co-create your plan.
- Evidence-informed: Every recommendation is grounded in current research.
- Compassionate: We take your concerns seriously and never dismiss symptoms as “just hormones.”
After Your Visit
- You may receive follow-up requisitions, educational resources, or a summary of your care plan.
- If treatment is started (e.g., hormone therapy), a follow-up will be scheduled — typically in 3 months or sooner if needed.
- If tests are requested, then we will arrange a follow-up visit sooner.
- If you still need time to decide, you can book a follow-up visit with us but within a year of your initial consultation otherwise you will need a new referral to us.
